Steve Hoiles
Director of Rugby & Head Coach
Former Wallaby Stephen Hoiles joins RFCLA as it's Director Rugby and Head Coach in late 2024. Hoiles takes up the top job after two seasons with Australian Shute Shield club Randwick that included a drought-breaking championship in 2023 and Coach of the Year honors in 2024.
Hoiles is no stranger to LA, having coached Los Angeles in Major League Rugby in 2021 and 2022, winning the title in 2021. With that stint in LA ending earlier than anticipated, Hoiles said he had always hoped he might end up returning to the MLR, focusing on step change in form for the 2025 season.
A former ACT Brumbies Captain and Title winner in Super Rugby, Hoiles played 16 Tests for the Australian National Team, the Wallabies.
