Los Angeles, USA: Rugby Football Club Los Angeles (RFCLA) has signed a multi-year agreement with Chatime Global, making the Bubble tea company the new Front of Jersey sponsor for the team.

Chatime is a global brand with over 1,500 stores in 62 countries on six continents. The company has 13 stores in the US; three of which are in Los Angeles. It plans to expand in the USA with new stores launching in the next 18 months. Chatime currently has stores in many cities that are also home to Major League Rugby teams.

Carlos Antonius, Chief Executive Officer at Chatime Global said:

“Chatime is delighted to partner with Rugby Football Club of Los Angles (RFCLA) in their inaugural year in LA. Chatime is a global beverage and boba company, that delivers “Cups Of Joy” with every curated drink product, and we have our sights on expanding throughout the United States.

RFCLA will help us connect with consumers and fittingly form a key part of developing our brand and rollout across the USA.

“Together, we look forward to creating an innovative and meaningful partnership with RFCLA that will benefit consumers and rugby fans alike, with shared values and purpose to help build our respective brands.

“Our stores in LA, across the USA and globally, will be supporting RFCLA on their journey to success over the coming years. We are proud to have the Chatime brand on the front of the jersey of RFCLA”.

Commenting on the partnership, Peter Sickle, RFCLA’s Chief Executive Officer and co-founder, stated;

“To have the support in year one from a company that shares the same values and innovative spirit as we do is great endorsement of RFCLA’s passion towards growing the sport here in Los Angeles and Southern California.

“Chatime has a strong growth strategy here in the United States, and RFCLA is no different, and we are looking forward to our brands aligning and growing as one though Major League Rugby.”

With the recent announcement of both the Men’s and Women’s Rugby World Cup coming to the US in 2031 & 2033, coupled with the World Series Sevens stop in LA and the Rugby Sevens being one of the Olympic sports in 2028 in LA, there is no better time than now to bring our brands together to take advantage of this golden opportunity”

The partnership between RFCLA and Chatime will see the Chatime brand be front of the RFCLA Home and Away jersey, as well as the RFCLA Academy Team. RFCLA Promotions for Chatime will be featured at all the RFCLA Home games.

Chatime has created a custom flavor Bubble Tea for RFCLA, a Mango and Coconut green Tea with blue curacao and coconut jelly. The Tea, named ‘RFCLA Try Time’, will be available at all three LA Chatime stores, specific Rugby Games and LA Events. The Los Angeles Chatime Stores will also sell a range of the RFCLA merchandise for fans.

Fans of both RFLCA and Chatime can download the Chatime USA app and on each RFCLA Game Broadcast across America and globally can go onto a QR code for Chatime special offers.
