Saunders will lead RFCLA players, along with Head Coach Steve Brett, in its inaugural season as Major League Rugby’s newest Southern California team.

“It’s truly an honor to play alongside this great group of guys,” says newly appointed Team Captain, Niall Saunders. “I’m energized to serve as their Team Captain and we’re all pumped to be here and represent the incredible city of Los Angeles in the MLR.”

Niall Saunders, the 5’ 9” scrum half was born in Chertsey, England and has been playing rugby since he was five years old. Starting out with the Harlequins Rugby Football Club, the scrum half player has also played for the Tel Aviv Heat, Utah Warriors and most recently, Rugby ATL before the team relocated to the West Coast.
