Mark Carney

General Manager

Originally hailing from England, Mark Carney played rugby at Sedbergh School until the age of 16 when he moved to the United States. He was a member of the USA U19 pathway until injury saw his playing days come to an end.

Carney attended Salem State University in Massachusetts where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Sport Management. He spent the following summer with USA Rugby where he wrote the High Performance Plan that was presented to the United States Olympic Committee, gaining Rugby 7s official Olympic Sport status. Carney went on to obtain his MBA in Sport Management from Florida Atlantic University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.

His professional career has seen him hold positions across all aspects of sport, from grassroots with Rugby NorCal and USA Water Polo, collegiate at USA Rugby South and professionally with the Miami Dolphins, Florida Panthers, Rugby ATL and now Rugby Football Club Los Angeles as General Manager of Rugby.
